Michael Brewer began formal training in photography at the age of 17 in U.S. Navy Photographic Intelligence.

His training has continued through formal training courses, workshops and seminars conducted by recognized international photographic figures.

"Photographic art is not about cameras, it is about a way of seeing based on the artists' experience, and communicating that visually. It is about sharing what has been created and inter-preted through a very specialized art form".

His photographs appear in collections, offices, galleries, and homes in North America and Europe. They have been published on various covers and he has received awards, including "Best of Show," at all levels.

Mike prefers the 4" x 5" view camera as his creative tool because of the control and effectiveness of the large image.

In addition to his photographic pursuits he has received
degrees in Business Administration and Theology as well as additional post-graduate studies. He has traveled extensively and has lived in the U.S., Canada, and Japan.
